Capitol Hill.
The word is synonymous with government (or the lack thereof, as the case may be). The word brings to mind images of a huge white dome dominating the skyline and Congressional bickering. Of suits, and briefcases, and mountainous stacks of memos. Of course it is littered with landmarks other than the big white dome such as the Supreme Court building, the Library of Congress, and Congressional Cemetary, among others. But Capitol Hill is more than that, so much more. It is also the largest historic residential neighborhood in Washington, D.C. Members of Congress, their staff, journalists, lobbyists, and consultants all call the Hill home. So do many others, if they can afford to live there; having a prestigous address comes for a price, real
We Live in and Love DC. We celebrate the DC lifestyle!
Not your average (haunted) houses!
Founded pursuant to an Act of Congress in 1790, Washington DC has seen its fair share, and then some, of military engagements, duels, assassinations, untimely and mysterious deaths, and other assorted tragedies in its long and storied history. So famous are Washington's ghosts, they have been featured in documentaries and name dropped by author Dan Brown. So, in honor of Halloween, turn down the lights, put on some spooky music, set up your Ouija board and keep reading for our guide to some of the most haunted houses in the City....if you dare!

Bike to Work DC!
Bike to work day is May 17th 2013
DC is becoming more and more bike friendly. To encourage more people to get off the hot Metro, out of their air conditioned cars and get healthy, Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association sponsor a Bike to work day. Really, nearly every day can be a bike to work day.
We even got theses handy dandy bike pumps attached to some of the bike locking stations around DC.
The Metropolitian Branch Trail is part of the East Coast Greenway. If you were so inspired you could bike from Maine to Key West. While that might be a bit much for us, Our entire team here at Abbott Klar Real Estate Group will be biking to work and showing houses by bike on Bike to Work Day. So join us and the rest of the city
Brunch, Boat, Play Ball!
By Danielle Dellerson
The National Capital Region—or the “DMV,” if you must—is perennially one of the top career destinations in the country. We live in a sea of Ph.Ds and all manner of fancy degrees—the most of any metropolitan area in these United States. All of this blurs the fact that you could easily justify moving here because it’s a helluva good time—if you know how to leave your suit at the dry cleaners and toss your government-issued Blackberry in the Potomac (or at least shut the darn thing off for a few hours). There are countless ways to enjoy the city and its surroundings, but here’s one of my favorites: Brunch, Boat, Play Ball!
The boys of summer thankfully return to Nationals Park in the spring—when it’s still feasible to stand

Sunday Spice in Glover Park
by Danielle Dellerson
Brunch spots abound in Washington, D.C.—a treasure trove of egg bennies, bacon, and towering stacks of pillowy pancakes, often served up with copious mimosa refills. But if you want to avoid falling into a brunch rut, swap your standard Sunday fare for a tidal wave of flavors from the south of India, which, according to my taste buds, is the center of the spice universe.
And good news—this universe is now conveniently located in Glover Park with the opening of Malgudi, the newest venture from the owners of Heritage India, which is located just above the Malgudi space at 2400 Wisconsin Ave., NW.
Even better news—Malgudi’s brunch offerings include bottomless mimosas—which will come in handy for
