The Clara Barton and the Lafayette were built by the same builder in 2004 and are kind of 'sister' buildings.  Initially the plan was for The Lafayette to be the condo building and the Clara Barton to be a rental building.  But this is 2004 we are talking about.. the hight of the 'excitment' about real estate in DC.  Everyone was buying one or two condos those days.  Remember?
